hey, hello Alessio, I would like to share my understanding of this phenomenon!
In addition to the orexin-related causes of type 1 narcolepsy, cataplexy may be due to excessive accumulation of prostaglandin e2. In the brain, this hormone usually accumulates in the prefrontal cortex and basal ganglia, which will greatly aggravate the symptoms of narcolepsy symptom. Because of the excessive accumulation of lipopolysaccharide, the symptoms can be relieved by eating a vegetarian diet and dredging the liver and intestines. This is my understanding, I hope you can try my method, best wishes:)
