I am on 30 mg vyvanse twice a day, I am able to maintain a full time job and care for 4 children after work thanks to my meds . It still is hard, doesn’t take my symptoms away completely, I still doze off during the day at least once or twice for 10-15 minutes and usually take a 45 min nap after work but I found that vyvanse helps me a lot without it I couldn’t function to work or care for my children. With narcolepsy I’ve learned that unfortunately I don’t think any medication is going to take our symptoms away completely where we will forget we have narcolepsy but they can help us push through our day if we are strong and willing. Don’t be so hard on yourself, you must learn to accept things the way they are and be proud of the little things you are able to accomplish ( like getting through a 8 hr shift) for some it comes so easy and for us unfortunately even with meds it comes as a challenge but I’ve used these challenges as motivation. I challenge myself to push as hard as I can and when my day is through I learned to be proud of myself because only we know how tough that small task truly was for us. We are strong , we are narcolepsy strong!

I also have never heard of these medications.
Will have to do some checking with Mr. Google.

Now I too am curious....
I have not ever heard of either of those medications. If you don't mind me asking, are those prescribed specifically for Narcolepsy, and if so what type of doctor prescribed them? Just wondering.??.
