Can't Take Short Naps
I find it very difficult, and seldom am able to nap for just 20 minutes to half hour. Once I start an afternoon nap it is at least an hour, sometimes two. Anyone else have this problem? Any tips on making it work?
The second I slow down I have the HARDEST time waking up again or getting going again it’s awful but I’m so tired I need to stop and take a nap but it usually throws my whole day off because it takes my hours to get going again
Just wanted to let you know you're not alone. I am the same way. 20 minutes always turns into around 2 hours. Hugs!
I always have them. I am trying to find peace within myself because it can be embarrassing in certain situations. I can say that my daily schedule has improved a lot since I started medication. There is also a shock clock you can buy from amazon which will wake you up instantly after the allocated time. I haven't had a chance to try it yet but will buy it whenever I can.

That's a sign you are getting into deeper stages of sleep, unfortunately not the kind or enough that we need to be normal.
My neurotypical friends can take short naps and wake up refreshed lol. Also, napping can throw off my circadian rhythm, so I typically avoid them.
I struggle with this, although sometimes when I have a severe sleep attack I can sleep for 14-18 hours. It scares my family.
