Does Anyone Else Have A Really Weird Taste In Their Mouth After Waking Up From A Sleep Or Nap?
Its a bit hard to describe this feeling I have after waking up. I have narcolepsy with Cataplexy and always used to feel refreshed after a sleep or nap, now when I wake up I have the strangest taste (?) or feeling in the back of my throat and it is very odd. I never used to have this and wondered if anyone else does?
Sending you all love and support <3
I've had it since before going to periodontist in 2016, to find it was periodontal disease. It was bleeding gums. When I was going it was because I was getting the free dental from NJ, but I was thrown off the program because I didn't drive and the person that was supposed to drive me, couldn't. I've been losing gum and bone for more than a year, can't afford periodontist now. So if you aren't going to dentist regularly and over 50, please go if you can. Lost my top teeth already and that was bad enough. My bottom teeth won't last much longer, and what do you have if you can't smile or eat.
It could be allergies... my dr said that even people who don't usually have seasonal allergies are experiencing severe symptoms. Because of the pandemic people were not exposed to all of the usual things, our immune systems are going haywire.
I have had this lately, it just started a couple of months ago. I am not sure if it is narcolepsy related or something else since I also have fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis (possibly psoriatic osteoarthritis) and multiple back issues. It seems like a strong flavored drink such as cranberry juice and then brushing my teeth thoroughly seems to take care of the bad taste and the feeling in the back of my throat.
Sometimes not often
