Type Of Doctor That Is The Most Helpful

A MyNarcolepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Raleigh, NC

I have known about my narcolepsy for about 23 years and have seen a neurologist, general care practitioner, sleep specialist and everyone in between. No one seems to want to help me. I have been on the same medication all this time and no one wants to make changes.

What doctor does everyone go to that actually understands and is willing to help?
Does anyone know a good doctor in the Raleigh/Durham area?

No the neurologist was 23 years ago and I went to him because a coworker was concerned that I was always asleep when she tried talking to me.

Was the neurologist actually a sleep specialist?
