My doctor did, because I am having a hard time coming off meds that I need to be off of for the mslt psg. I’m kinda surprised he had me do it.

Did your doctor or you yourself request these test? Kinda wondering if it would be beneficial to have these test done myself?

Thanks for replying. I’m still waiting on the results from mayo labs. It was weird because it took an hour for them to get the fluid with the needle in my back - and have me squeeze and push to try and get more for them to get out. I just thought they would draw and be done. It hurt some.

I haven't - always been terrified of a lumbar puncture, although my husband has had one and he said it was fine. We don't have labs here in South Africa that can do the Orexin test and we used to send it to the US but post Covid sending human tissue or liquid has become a nightmare so no one does it anymore. Have you had the result? And how was it strange?
