Does Anyone Else Suffer From Iron Deficiency As Well As Narcolepsy?
I have a hard time figuring out if my Narcolepsy is acting up or if my iron is low. I cannot take iron pills and have to go in for infusions. It's frustrating because people get annoyed with me.
I also am severely anemic.
I do.
I have to get iron infusions one to two times a year. My ferritin level dips down over time. Not sure why
Yes, I have for years, and am prescribed an iron supplement to take daily, which I have taken for years. It never seemed to help as much as it should've. At one point last year, my level was so low that my doctor almost sent me to get an iron infusion.
Weirdly enough, a few weeks ago they tested me and it was in the (lower) normal range for the first time in over 5 years! It was a noce surprise... Now I'm curious to see whether or not it will stay there?
Good luck to you!❤️
