Does Anyone Know How To Start The Process Of Getting A Service Dog For Narcolepsy?
I don't have a certified narco service dog, but my pup my daughter got last December will herd me to lay down and lay on my legs right before a sleep attack hits. Smart girl! I would love to get her certified but don't have an endless bank account to do so!

That's what I want to know also
I had a 110 lb Weimaraner with whom I had an extremely close relationship. He slept with me and went every where I went. Not a service dog but very smart. He woke me up to take care of getting him out to potty and to eat and would encourage me to play or at least interact with him. I was able to take extended car trips with him as I would need to stop frequently for him and that kept me awake. If I became sleepy driving, I felt safe pulling over, locking the doors and taking a short nap with him sitting guard in the front seat. When you are out with a dog, others are more likely to engage with others, keeping you alert.
Just having him in my life kept me on my feet and engaged more than I would have been living without a dog in my life.
Definitely do not feel you must have a trained service dog to help with Narcolepsy. A rescued smart dog that you develop a close relationship with can also be very helpful.
