I absolutely agree I experienced all this. Short naps feel like hours of sleep

Great it’s not just me 😂 never tried Xyrem. I’ve always been curious if it’s anything like Adderall. I have this conspiracy that our dreams our somehow linked to another existence of ourselves somewhere in the Universe 🤦🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️ I think that’s why most people forget their dreams so fast. We just get a glimpse into another life of ours. I can be asleep for 5 mins and it feels like hrs have passed, and it’s either I wake up exhausted or fully energized as if I’ve slept al night

I was initially diagnosed with type 2 but now it's changed to type 1 and oh my goodness, yes! As a child I thought people lied about how little they remembered of their dreams but since I've been on Xyrem, I think I dream more normally and it's INSANE. Before, I fully experienced my dreams and it felt physically real and the memories were stored like real memories. Ever since being on the medication, it's just some foggy event that was definitely a dream that happened. If I skip a dose, it's a dramatic difference. It's like being transported to other worlds.

I have type 2 narcolepsy, but have the most vivid, wild, crazy dreams! Sometimes it's very hard for me to even get up in the morning because I am dreaming so hard. I have shut my alarm clock off without even knowing it and been late for work because I am dreaming. Sometimes I wake up with a headache, or exhausted because I have been dreaming so hard all night that it has wore me out. People with narcolepsy go into REM sleep and stay there. That's why we dream so much :-) I can take a nap for 20 minutes, and I will have a crazy vivid dream!
