Along with fruits and vegetables and a steady supply of protein you are on the right track. Be careful how late in the evening you eat, so that you are not going to bed with a bloated stomach.
I also would suggest that you get some exercise, walk a little every date, ride your bike, go swimming if you can. Don;t forget the vitamin D via time spent in the sunshine and nature. May times, your attitude determines you altitide. Thank yiou positive.

I find that I feel extra sluggish after eating carbs. My ideal breakfast is a smoothie that I make with frozen bananas, peanut butter, unsweetened cocoa powder, coffee, and milk (I use either soy or almond milk but any type is fine). Another thing I usually have for breakfast that I find gives me energy is celery with peanut butter and raisins. Not typical breakfast food but it works for me.
Also to help keep me feeling alert while driving I always have ice water that I drink through a straw and a variety of "car snacks". Not the healthiest, but in addition to gum and mints I like to have a variety of things to snack on in the car like sour patch extreme candy, atomic fireballs, fiery hot Takis, and something chewy like good and plenty. It's hard to remain feeling sleepy when your mouth is on fire or if you're getting a jolt of something extremely sour. Other than that I do try to eat healthy as in a lot of fruit and vegetables, nuts, etc.

I don't follow a specific diet, but I believe I need more protein and dark chocolate than before. Also, I've been slowly gaining weight the last couple of months, which I cannot lose, even though I try to follow sort of a healthy diet.

I try to eat a high protein diet that also has lots of fruits and veggies. Like I have a protein meal replacement drink in the morning cause breakfast makes me feel sick usually and I can't wake up early enough to get myself to make anything anyway. And I tend to mix it with my coffee so I have caffeine too.
Then I have a spinach Dijon salad for a snack which I get at Walmart, it has spinach, almonds, dried cranberries and Dijon mustard that you put together.
Lunchtime I don't have anything specific, just something with chicken in it usually cause it's easiest on my stomach. Then I have some trail mix or a pack of cheese, apples and grapes that I snack on until dinner which I typically don't eat, but when I do I try to make something I enjoy to end the day with a good taste in my mouth lol.

At least that's my plan, I haven't been doing it for a while because of unfortunate circumstances that cause me not to have the money to buy my own food, so I just eat whatever my parents have😅 I hope this helps you find a good diet tho!

When I was following a gluten free and more natural foods I felt a lot better, I try to do it as much as possible but I travel long distances and it makes it very difficult.
