No Recollection Of Alarms Going Off

A MyNarcolepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello

I will start dreaming and become aware that I am dreaming/have fallen back to sleep which prompts me to wake up in a panic. I hope this isn’t too late but I recently have been putting my stimulant medication in a little dish next to my bed. That way, when my first alarm goes off, I take it, and then let myself go back to sleep. So, by the third or fourth alarm around, the meds have actually kicked in and I’m more awake. and I only have that med in the dish, because if I have no recollection of actually taking it, I can see if it’s physically there or not. I hope this helps, this certainly has helped me with the sleep inertia.

How about moving an alarm or 2 to the opposite side of the room so you have to get out of bed to shut them off

I do the exact same thing. I have the meds on my bedside table and take them when my first alarm goes off and then after snoozing the alarm several times, I can wake up usually between 30 min to 1 hr. later.

As soon as you wake up. Get up and get moving.
