Hi all, since making this post I've started on my dose, 100mg of Provigil. I'm still finding it necessary to nap after a long day, but no sleep attacks! But yes @hch28, I have found that I have mild untreated ADHD symptoms, and using Adderall as a stimulant really has had no effect because when I take Adderall, I feel /normal/.

The issue I have with stimulants is that I am on antianxiety medications, Xanax and Abilify which ease my anxiety symptoms but increase my sleepiness. My concern is that taking stimulants will cancel out the effects of the Benzodiazapines and I'll just be left anxious and awake

Adderall has been great until after about a year it lost its effectiveness. The drop at the end of the dose is sudden for me.

I tried everything most give me a boost for a hour then tried again I’m on Vyvanse 70 mg it works best then anything else I skip the weekend and start back weekday it not what was told but it helps more that way my body gets use to meds then they stop helping as of this one it’s up there for me a few years ago I went off road don’t know how don’t remember anything most times I’m scared to drive when I take Vyvanse
It keeps me up good as I’m so confused it’s like if I sleep 2 hours for the night I am good if I sleep more then that I wake tried as hell I just don’t understand

I would be surprised if the Adderall you took actually had the effect of making you fall asleep. It may have just been too small of a dose to affect your narcoleptic symptoms(?). CNS stimulants were the only med prescribed for Narcolepsy for years and are still likely the most commonly used today. New treatments are coming though! Are you under the care of a physician for Narcolepsy?
