How Would They Treat Sleep Paralysis Associated With Narcolepsy?
For years now I have been having symptoms of Sleep paralysis and it is getting worse.I am being put on CPAP for the upteen time I am being treated for Narcolepsy on and off diagnosed 11 years ago;presently now on treatment Treatment for depression over the last 20 years has failed.Don't know what to do with myself very frustrated to lead life like this
I agree with the stimulant comment. I've found that sleep paralysis is a lot easier to deal with during the day. I absolutely will not sleep between midnight and 6 am. Unless I have no choice. Always sleep in a well lit room. Being single is a plus because a significant other is not gonna tolerate that. . Well lit rooms make it easier to figure out where you are and what's happening when you wake up to sp. When you do figure out what's happening the "guests" that you may see are not as scary. In fact you usually won't see anything. In a dark room the effect is a hundred times worse because you mind has a lot more vague images to work with to manifest your fears. (Assuming they are hallucinations) and if they are real, light prevails over darkness. The amount of times I wake up screaming is drastically less when I wake up to s well lit room.
The only thing that has helped with my sleep paralysis and with cataplexy is keeping a steady amount of stimulants in my system which has been difficult lately with the shortage.
