I forgot the cope part… i just breath through my nose… count to 4, hold it count to 4, exhale count to 4 breath in count to 4… its called BOX BREATHING its also nearly instant relief from anxiety attack BECAUSE IT FORCES our mush melons to switch gears.. MOUTH BREATHING for some reason doesnt work so well in anything, but some say it doesnt matter. BOX BREATHING is like my favorite secret. I use it if im gettting angry. NO ONE KNOWS IM DOING IT PLUS IT KEEPS MY MOUTH SHUT!🤣

hi Marc
I have had it so many times i can’t count. Sometimes its a quick thing like an adjustment back to reality. Other times if i wake up in the middle of “a dream” that often seems more real than this life… ummm yeah i get confused and it sort of affects my mood for varying amounts of time. BECAUSE I WOKE UP FULLY REMEMBERING that event and it was so real its often very hard to shake it off.

I never watch scary movies or murder mysteries, none of that because in the past i think it had some affect on the dream thing. Not sure and if i was it wouldn’t be a allowed to be said here (not sure why nearly anything i say gets shut down)? But whatever, i guess.

@A MyNarcolepsyTeam Member. That sounds more like cataplexy than sleep paralysis.

When I get upset I can’t move anything except my eyes, I can speak but it’s gibberish.

I've had sleep paralysis many times and it comes in at different levels from totally unable to move to just having a hard time getting movement started. I've learned that the only thing I can do when it's there is wait and relax it will eventually resolve and then I can be on my way to my normal routine. The more I would stress about it before the longer and more severe it seemed to last
